Registration Instructions for Students

Your advisor will clear you for registration through the BEAVERNet portal.  (No more access codes)

NOTE: As you explore the BEAVERNet portal, please do not to use the web browser’s back button to return to a previous screen.  Instead, click on the links displayed after You are here: at the top left or the links on the left side of the page to move around the portal.
  1. Log into BEAVERNet with the USERNAME and PASSWORD you enter to access your BVU email.  If you need assistance, email 2fix@bvu.edu or call 749-2FIX (2349).
  2. Click the STUDENT tab in the top menu bar.
  3. From the Student menu in the left column, select COURSE LISTINGS & REGISTRATION.
  4. Review & complete the Personal Information Form and the Registration Agreement (these are new and must be completed to access the Add/Drop menu).
  5. Click the COURSE SEARCH icon at the bottom of the screen.
  • The Term FA 2014 and Program Undergraduate will default (do not change these selections).  In the 3rd area of this page, be sure to select CAMPUS – SL Campus.  Click on search to bring up the course offerings for fall.  These are arranged alphabetically be department.  At both the top and bottom of the courses are letter groupings so you can narrow the search results and find a specific course.  Click the box in the Add column to check mark the class(es) you want to add.  Then click the add courses button at the bottom of the screen.
  • A Course Added message will display and show your credit hours.  At the bottom of the screen, it will display the classes you’ve added, and have a Drop check box next to it.  If you’ve added the wrong class, or changed your mind, just click the Drop Selected Courses box, and it will go away, and your message should say, Course successfully dropped.  Go to More Search Options and continue adding your classes.
  • Instead of using the search function, you can also add courses by course code.  As you start typing the department, such as ENGL, all the English courses and sections will display.  Arrow down to the correct course, or finish typing the department, number and section, and click Add Courses.  It’s advised to just do one course at a time.  If you’ve added courses with time conflicts, or that permission is needed, it will add the other ones, but not those.  I think it’s easier to see what you’re doing if you just add one at a time.
  • Please note: Courses that have a letter in the section, or where the section is 50 or above, are Graduate & Professional Studies classes.  BEAVERNet will not let you add those.  In addition, just like in Campus Connect, it will not let you add a class which conflicts with another, nor let you go over 17.5 credits.
When finished, click on Log out at the top right of your screen, so that others may not access your information.

  7. At the right side of the screen, under GO DIRECTLY TO, you may View Course Details, get a Class List, do Grade Entry. There’s really not much to see within course details.  Within the class, if you have access to that student, you may view their entire schedule for the semester by clicking on the   icon. You can also email the instructor of those classes in which they’re enrolled.  On each of the students in the class, you can send an email them (to their BVU email address) as well as any or all of their advisors.  Or you can email all students in the class at once.  You can also export your roster to excel.  Grade entry works much the same as it does in FAS.  You will enter midterm and final grades, along with a last date of attendance for students assigned a grade of “F”.  When entering grades, you’ll get a confirmation email sent to your BVU email address.
Please note: Courses that have a letter in the section, or where the section is 50 or above, are Graduate & Professional Studies classes.
